The upcoming 2024 Toyota Tacoma is set to revolutionize the mid-size truck sector with a fully redesigned look. Tacoma has long been a favorite among drivers because of its durability and adaptability and also because of the selling of trucks in the USA. The third-generation Tacoma is set to release on the market in late 2023. The Tacoma will be based on Toyota’s new TNGA-F platform, which will provide it with many of the same features and components as the Tundra, and makes it an electrified alternative. After the change in powertrain, Tacoma can easily outperform its already outperformed rivals like Colorado(sorry Chevy fans) and Ranger.

Next Toyota is going hybrid this year according to some rumors. Under the hood, it will also have a 2.4 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with only an added electric motor which can make up to 370 horsepower. 2024 Toyota Tacoma Exterior
Toyota patented a new exterior design for the 2024 Tacoma. From the spy photos, we must say that Tacoma will look highly similar to Sequoia. One noticeable change is the blanked-out grille which gives it a more aggressive look. Another is its bulkier size for a rugged appearance. Among Tacoma’s improvements a sliding rear window, darkly tinted glass, and changeable periodic wiper settings are more noticeable.
2024 Toyota Tacoma Engine and Transmission and Performance
As we know base 2023 Toyota Tacoma’s 160 hp, 2.7-liter inline-4 engine and the higher trims like the TRD PRO’s 278 horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 engine are being dropped for the 2024 model year. We expect Toyota will replace them with a 2.4 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the base model which can produce a maximum of 265 Horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. And there will also be a hybrid Toyota Tacoma this year which has a similar powertrain with the addition of an electric motor that helps it to provide a maximum of 370 horsepower.
These powertrains are also present in the all-new Lexus RX 350, from which we can expect this year’s Tacoma to be powered by an 8 Speed Transmission. Because its competitors are much more advanced in this case from Tacoma. Rear Wheel Drive and Four Wheel Drive both the drivetrains are present in the new Tacoma models.
2024 Toyota Tacoma Safety Features And Technology
The brand-new 2024 Toyota Tacoma will release with all the major safety features like automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and forward-collision warning. The Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P) will present as standard equipment on all Tacoma models. Airbags will be present on the 1st And 2nd Row curtains, beneath of the knees of both driver and passenger, and on the side of every seat.
2024 Toyota Tacoma Infotainment and Connectivity
Toyota didn’t disclose much about the technical features of the new Tacoma but we can say from the spy photos that the infotainment display is increased by some inches. Previously introduced Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa will carry on as standard on every model. The display unit will come with a 3-month all-access trial of SiriusXM. We expect Toyota at least this year they provide a Wire Less Hotspot because all of Tacoma’s rivals are equipped with this.
Warranty, and Maintenance Coverage
We can’t say much about the warranties but we are sure in this case that Toyota Doesn’t need to improve its warranty, and maintenance coverage, because most of its competitors offer the same as Tacoma.
- A limited warranty for the first three years or 36,000 miles
- Poertrain Warrenty of 5-year or 60,000-mile
- A complimentary maintenance services for the first two years or 25,000 miles
